I'm selling my one-of-a-kind Gibson Melody Maker Reissue. This single-pickup version was first offered in 2007 at a budget price of $599. Many folks (including myself) jumped on the chance to buy a USA-made guitar for such a low price. While the quality of the base guitar is very good, I thought the pickup was anemic and way too brittle sounding to be useful, so the folks at Intown Guitars in Atlanta replaced it with an amazing-sounding Lindy Fralin Split-Rail. They also filed the frets, lowered the action and added a bone nut.

After the work was done it played and sounded great so I decided to send it off to my friends at Rowyco Kustom Guitar Finishes and had the standard flat-white paint job stripped off in favor of the classic Pelham Blue Metallic finish you see here.

The rest of the parts are all original Gibson USA. You won't see or hear another Melody Maker like this one. I'll ship it inside a brand new, heavily padded genuine Gibson USA gig bag. I also have the original (and collectable) orange Gibson Melody Maker box it was sold in and I'll include that as well.

MY POLICY

I enjoy the original person-to-person auction spirit that eBay was founded on and I appreciate you taking the time to view my listings. I'm just a guy that sells some of the stuff I've acquired from time-to-time. I'm not looking to make a killing, I'm trying to get some nice things that still have a lot of value into the hands of folks that need or want them. I'm not a business, frequent seller, or eBay flipper. This is MY personal property. Honesty is my policy. If something is not quite right with any item I sell, I will tell you up front and price the item accordingly. My feedback rating is 100% and I want to keep it that way. I would really appreciate you leaving me feedback for this transaction to let me know you are satisfied with your purchase.

Thanks for looking and happy bidding!
